Finishing up the last of the orders and my shops are now officially on vacation. I plan on being ready to start taking orders again at the end of October, that includes all custom and rush orders. For a nice little send off, I will include in this post a picture of a sweet 0-3 month twirl knot dress and matching giraffe. Trust me, the picture does not do them justice. These were finished this afternoon and by this time tomorrow will be on their way to a customer in France! Hope they are both enjoyed by the new baby girl who is waiting for them.

Oh how I wish it was something glorious and glamorous, but no. I will be putting my shops on vacation mode later this week due to an upcoming surgery. Nothing serious, but recovery time will be needed. I have three dresses that I am working on and only have time for another one or two before closing up. If you want to place an order, now is the time to do so. Everything will be shipped out by the 9th.
My Etsy shop has more of a selection right now, but you don’t have to have an account at Artfire to make purchases. It’s a nice option to have if you don’t like having multiple accounts at different websites.

… and you know what that means? Brown, red, yellow leaves in the trees, crisp air, pumpkin pie. Oh how I love all things Fall related. I’m also excited because it also means that I can break out all my earthy-toned fabrics. I do love bright colors, but theres something about the rich reds and chocolate browns that make me feel all cozy this time of year. Right now, we’re stuck on orange. The kids have Halloween and pumpkins on the brain. So in honor of that special night of ghosts and goblins and candy strung out Trick-or-Treaters, here is MooGoo modeling two new jumpers that were finished this afternoon.

Etsy is not like ebay when it comes to feedback. Feedback isn’t given nearly as much and when it is, it tends to be more personal. Sometimes I get emails (which I adore) and sometimes I get both (even better). Yesterday, I was so happy to find feedback for one of the recent dresses that I had made. It is the first public feedback left for a dress and it was a great one. I’ve gotten emails with positive comments, but nothing potential customers could see.
Here it is in all its glory:
“Absolutely beautiful! Quality is very professional. The fabric is perfect. Will def be a return costumer. Highly recommended!!!”
Maybe it is a little silly to be so happy about feedback, but I love knowing that something that I made is being enjoyed.

AND THEY’RE OFF…
Finished the 2nd dress for the Pretty Bird dress order. It’s a size 6-12 month, much too small for MooGoo to model. I love making the little dresses, but wish I could see them in action. Theres nothing like seeing a sweet chubby-cheeked baby girl in a pretty little dress. Maybe I can convince the bride to email me a couple of pictures of the two girls wearing their dresses.

So I finished the first of two custom dresses today. The customer was a dream to work with. She had an idea of what she wanted and was patient and not demanding. She’s getting married and needed two dresses for her neices. We looked through lots of fun fabric and settled on two from the Michael Miller Pretty Bird line. Luckily her niece wears a 2T and I was able to let MooGoo model for some pictures. I love how the dress turned out. I guess it is a good thing that MooGoo’s closet is full or I might be tempted to order some more fabric and make one for her.
